The
first Violectra Quartet used for the bands string section on their
tour of Loch Lomond, Knebworth and Cork. More custom football finish
colours in Manchester City pearlescent sky blue for this quartet,
including bows and cases.

Sunita's request for the RAF motto in hand brushed
gold paint challenged the heart of my creative abilities. I admired
her vision to see the finished article; the purple & amber
colours and gold lettering and stars.

Order 100 was marked by a left handed model. It was a refreshing
challenge to make an inverted Violectra, everything in reverse application
from beginning to end including a left sided chin-rest.

This showpiece was appropriate for Gary's
Cabaret act on the H.M.S. QE2 and Oriano. It was a challenge to
design the star around the space under the strings and down into the
frame so that once mounted it would be safe from catching fingers
and clothes. Being in Birmingham's Jewellery quarter at the time
made easy work to find a gold-plater.
