"I
was nervous to have a custom instrument made without being able to
play something from the maker beforehand. But, after talking with
Dave during the ordering process as well as the different stages
fabrication I was put to ease that my instrument was in good hands.
I even got in-progress photos so I could see its transformation!
Upon its completion my Violectra instrument has improved my live
tone and recorded sound exponentially! I have recently returned to a
studio I have worked with many times in the past and the
engineer/producer commented on how much higher quality my Violectra
instrument is, both in tone and signal quality. My instrument is
beautiful and sounds incredible. I only wish I had bought one
sooner!"
Thanks, Dave!

Violectra
NO V-133,
This
Violectra was made in order to record an album produced by EMI
in 2005. It has been recorded by some of the best producers in
the world, including Eric Serra (Fifth Element, Leon and
Goldeneye fame); Jeff Wayne (War of the Worlds fame) and Orion
(who was responsible for Embrace’s last No.1 album, Dido's
and Prodigy’s). After finishing the album the Violectra went
to Cuba to film the debut video for the crossover group and
then onto Mexico where it saw the new album go to No.1 in the
pop charts. On returning home to England, after a couple of
trips to Paris and Thailand for shows it was off again to tour
Asia, including Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. The
Violectra has been heard on radio stations and seen on TV
stations worldwide but the two most exciting events of its
performing life would have to be at the Heineken Cup Final at
Murrayfield in Scotland and at the Melbourne Cup in Australia.
Both were aired live and to millions across the globe, not
forgetting the 50,000 and 130,000 strong audiences at the
events themselves.
The
Violectra has also met the cast of Neighbours, played at the
Hippodrome, performed for Pavarotti and generally had a
fabulous life traveling the world. It has been much loved !
