TRIAL PERIODS
Instrument models as available can be tried on approval for a prearranged
period at the full cost prepaid before collection/delivery. A full refund
will be made on return of instrument within agreed period less any damages,
delivery, carriage and/or bank charges.
ORDERING
Please check on waiting list at time of ordering. To place a Violectra
order, please send us a completed order form or contact Violectra to help
complete your order form for your chosen instrument and string model. Your
order is confirmed by making a payment of 50% of total cost as a deposit.
We will further notify you in writing once work is started with an
estimated completion date. The remaining balance i.e. 50% and any extra costs; delivery
costs; is to be paid on completion of order. Changes requested to the
instrument specification, custom work, or additional accessories, will be
costed and added to the outstanding balance due.
LEAD TIMES
Usual production lead times are 8-12 weeks for Violins and Violas; and 20-26
weeks for Cellos. Please check at time of ordering if a waiting list affects these usual
production lead times.
CANCELLATION
In the unlikely event that a
Violectra order needs to be cancelled, we would need to charge a
cancellation fee of a minimum of £250.00. Further charges may be made
proportionate to the consultation time, preparation of drawings, new
designs or custom work and the allocation or purchase of materials. Once
notification has been given that work has begun, full payment is expected
upon completion. If you cancel your order during this period the item will
continue to be made and sold with every effort to achieve the highest
price. Any losses incurred will be deducted from your deposit.
DELIVERY
Can be arranged world-wide by door to door courier or air freight
service and passed on at cost. Delivery estimates will include separate
cover for insurance which will be based on the full replacement costs. Customers will be liable for any custom's duty where appropriate.
For maximum protection instruments can be delivered in a molded foam
packing carton which is lightweight, only 2.4kg with 4 string violin.
Viola and Cello packing weights upon enquiry.
PAYMENT
Payments are preferred to be made in £ Sterling payable to Violectra
by cash, personal cheque, bankers draft, Internet or Swift Bank Transfer (contact
for bank payment details). Please enquire re payments in Euro, US$ or
other foreign currencies. (Bank charges and clearance delays may be
incurred).
Our usual
payments options can be made with no administration fees by the
following methods:
Cash: Immediate
clearing
Cheque payments: requires
5 bank working days clearing
Credit card transactions in
shop or by phone 0121 693 1214, 2- 3 bank working days clearing. in
most instances, our customer credit card details are not recorded.
Internet or by bank
transfers: Can take from 3 -5 bank working days clearing
If you choose to
make payment by either of the following methods, please note you
will incur an admin fee of:
American Express: +2.5%
7 bank working days clearing
PayPal (by
invoice account) + 4% 1-3 bank working days clearing
LEGAL
Goods remain the property of Violectra until paid in full. Violectra
reserve the right to sell work contracted if the purchaser fails to pay
the outstanding balance within 28 days of notification of completion. In
the event of resale the costs incurred by Violectra in the manufacture,
administration and any deficit shortfall of the value of the order, shall
be deducted from the deposit. Any dispute over payment and/or contracts
will be subject to English Law.
WARRANTY
The Violectra range offers a two year limited warranty from date of purchase
to first owner against any substantial defect in materials and workmanship.
